2009 HOTLANTA CAT SHOW

Our next show will be April 4-5, 2009 at the Farmers Market Exhibition Hall near the Atlanta Airport. It will be our second annual show. The show will benefit the Fayette County Humane Society.

There are two Congresses at the show:  Bengal and Northern Lights (includes Norwegian Forest Cats, Siberians, and Maine Coons). The Wegies (Norwegian Forest Cats) are sponsoring a ring and are holding their 25th anniversary celebration at Hotlanta Cool Cats 2009!

Northern Lights Congress:  Chris Unangst (judging Saturday)

Bengal Congress:  Robby Whyte (judging Sunday)

We will also have a cat agility tournament!

There was a television special showing the agility tournament at the TICA Annual show last year on PBS on February 15 at 8pm EST. It is online now.

Show Fundraisers: Please take a look at our store for 2009 Helmi/Hotlanta calendars with full color photos, and raffle tickets for everything from a cat show cage to airline tickets!

Atlanta Community Cat Shows: We have regular community cat shows planned - any cat or kitten can be entered 4 months or older - healthy, happy and up-to-date on vaccinations! The next community cat show will be May 3rd at the Gwinnett County Fairgrounds.

If you are an exhibitor and have questions, Laura Heineck, the Entry Clerk for the 2009 show, will be happy to answer them. You can email her at COONSLADY at AOL dot COM. If you are new to showing, here is some information that will help you get started.

Household pet owners are encouraged to come and welcome to participate. TICA household pet of the year for 2008 is LA SGM BELIEVE IN MAGIC OF LUVPURRS, a red ticked tabby and white cat (also known as orange tabby and white). Here is where you can register your cat for Household Pet shows.

The public is cordially invited to visit the show hall during the show hours of 10:00 AM - 5:00 PM Saturday and 10:00 AM - 4:00 PM Sunday. More information is on the Visitors page.
